Lithosphere is divided in to several tectonic playes. These are under constant motion. When they collide with each other they expell large amount of energy is the form of seismic waves. This results in earthquake.

Burning fossil fuels releases large amount of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere as by product of combustion. CFC gases is another form of greenhouse gas that contributes greenhouse effect.
